Money Management For Women and People of Color
For every dollar a White man makes, Black men make 83 cents; White women make 77 cents; Black women make 69 cents and Latina women make 64 cents. While the average White family has a net worth of $120,000, the average Black family has an average net worth of just $8. Understanding finance is a key to changing the economic narrative and yet most women and minorities never learned these critical skills.
Medina’s talk on Money Management for Minorities is real talk for women and People of Color about money management and a call to action to change of their mindset about the role money should play in our lives. Medina’s Financial Fitness 101 workshop focuses on the fundamentals of money management that inspires young adults to build strong financial foundations in order to reach their financial goals. The Financial Fitness 201 workshop focuses on retirement saving, investing, estate planning, life insurance, and other wealth creation strategies.
